Student Activities
As important as the pursuit of academic excellence is a student’s involvement in either sports or extracurricular activities for the purposes of developing leadership, citizenship, skills in the area of athletics, and a belief in and practice of sportsmanship.
PreGrade Activities (note: the list below is a sampling of what has happened in recent years, though the actual activities vary somewhat year to year depending on student interest and the availabilty of teacher/parent facilitation):
- Art Gala
- Field Trips to Pumpkin Patch, Christmas Tree Farm, Luray Caverns, Crockett Park Nature Trail and the Dentist Office
- Chinese New Year
- Make and study a pond environment and winter habitats
- Make miniature “Indian” Villages

- Show and Tell
