Athletics
In addition to participation in our regular PE program, the following opportunities are also available to our students:
Winter Sports
Our Winter Sports program is an integral component of the educational program at St. Luke’s. It provides meaningful opportunities that enhance the daily physical education curriculum for students in first through ninth grade. It typically takes place on several days between January and February and includes on-site and off-site programs for students. The winter sports may include skiing, snowboarding, swimming, bowling, lacrosse, gymnastics, soccer, dance, tennis, walleyball, karate, and cheerleading.
Intramural Sports
Depending on studnet interest and availability of adult facilitation, students in grades 4 and 5 have the opportunity to participate seasonally in a sport or sports with a view to developing their individual and team sklls so that those participating will be better prepared to join one or more of our interscholastic teams the following year.
Interscholastic Sports
Beginning in grade 5, students have the opportunity with an all inclusive “no cut” policy to compete in boys’ soccer, girls’ field hockey, girls’ volleyball, and cross country in the fall; boys’ and girls’ basketball in the winter; and, boys’ and girls’ lacrosse, as well as girls’ soccer in the spring. The actual sports offered each season can vary dependig on student interest.
