Preschool
The Pregrade Program at St. Luke’s School lays the foundation for positive future school experiences. We provide a well-rounded program designed with hands on activities to encourage the intellectual, emotional, physical, social and spiritual development of the child. Our goal is to provide an atmosphere for learning in which the child feels comfortable and to offer many opportunities for a successful experience that will build self-esteem.
Field trips, presentations, cooking, experiments and special guests are a part of our educational enrichment program.
Preschool classes are limited to 14 students and are staffed by a teacher and an assistant. Two, three and five-day preschool programs are available, subject to minimum enrollment requirements. Prekindergarten classes are a five-day program, limited to 16 students and are staffed by a teacher and assistant.
Each classroom utilizes language arts and math manipulatives, art and cooking supplies, and developmental centers. The playground facilities, located adjacent to the main building, have age appropriate developmental equipment for outdoor fun.
In keeping with St. Luke’s mission statement of providing a superior college preparatory education in a Christian environment, daily devotions are an integral component of the curriculum and weekly chapel services are attended by students and staff.
